Dream Project

This was a project that was assigned by Walter Urie back in the fall semester of 2008. The assignment was to take a dream a I have and illustrate it into photography.

My dream was that I waited till the last minute to do my work and shot random images just to turn in. I went to class and Walter was upset that it wasn't up to par to his liking. So I walked away knowing that I had at least turned something in on time.

Love Hate

I have a Love Hate relationship with Film. Ill start with the hate by saying its very time consuming to shoot with it and then to process it. I myself as well as others are spoiled with instant gratification of the digital world. But how would we be today if film wasn't around? No X-rays, Newspapers would be full of text, there would be a lot more sketch artist and painters. Then there also wouldn't be the "Paparazzi" and tabloids magazines.

So now for the love of film. I love the organics and the fine detail you can get from it that digital industry is still trying to perfect today. For black and white, the basic tonality of black, white and gray are as simple as you can get, yet achieve extraordinary results with filters, stops and time. It makes me more patient and involved.

My Better Half

This is my girlfriend Phoebe, my inspiration and first love before photography. She hates me taking pictures of her, but I cant help how beautiful she is. She has been so supportive and oh so patient with my passion to becoming a great photographer. There's no other person I can imagine growing with but her.

A wedding at The Reef, Long Beach, Ca....Stephen and Summer's Wedding was my first time shooting a wedding last October 2008.

Along with John Tran, we assisted Marc Bui in covering the wedding.

Thought this should be a great way to get my self known as a Photographer out there. New to the whole blogging thing, so be gentle.

I'm based in Orange County, California. Started seriously shooting back in 2007, since then I have been learning about the beauty of photography as well as the beauty I can make with it. Been learning from some of the best(in my perspective), such as Neil and Kristi Rosales, Robert Yee, Marc Bui and traditional training from the staff at "The School of Photography of Orange Coast College".

Ill be posting past and present images in the future. For now this is me.
